The ingredient of Teriyaki Beef
- 1 2 cup soy sauce
- 1 4 cup mirin
- 1 4 cup caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons finely grated ginger
- 1 garlic clove thinly sliced
- 800g beef rump steak
- 1 tablespoon alfa one rice bran oil
- cooked sunrice japanese style sushi rice to serve
- thinly sliced green onion to serve
The Instruction of teriyaki beef
- place soy sauce mirin sugar honey sesame oil ginger and garlic in a saucepan over medium high heat bring to the boil reduce heat to low simmer for 5 to 10 minutes remove from heat cool to room temperature
- pour soy sauce mixture into a large shallow ceramic dish add steak turn to coat cover refrigerate for 3 hours
- drain beef reserving marinade heat rice bran oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat cook steak for 3 to 4 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking transfer steak to a plate cover loosely with foil set aside for 5 minutes to rest add reserved marinade to pan bring to the boil reduce heat to low simmer uncovered for 2 to 3 minutes or until reduced slightly
- thinly slice steak serve with rice green onion and drizzled with sauce
